If you’re dreaming of a well-fitting personal statement garment, this workshop is for you! We’ll draft a muslin pattern for a simple tunic or sheath, calculate yardage requirements, and determine design placement.  Then we’ll dye fabric using natural plant dyes, cut a stencil or stamp (or use a pre-made silkscreen, stencil, or stamp, if you wish), and print a unique design on our custom cloth. Finally we’ll cut and sew our individualized garments.

Basic dressmaking skills, natural dyes, and surface design techniques will be covered. All dyes,  auxiliaries, and cotton muslin are provided; students should bring their desired fabric for the finished garment and a sack lunch.  Limited to 6 students.
