Transform your charming vintage linens into a fashionable tunic or summer dress! This installment in my Poetic Thrift series will help you lift your flea market treasures out of storage and into your closet. You can personalize your garment with length and sleeve options, creative closures, various collar options, and fabric accents such as seam or pocket binding. Minimal sewing experience required.
Materials to bring:
3-5 medium to large-sized linens to reclaim (tablecloths, dresser scarves, quilts, etc.)
Sewing machine in good working order, including manual and normal attachments
Basic sewing kit: sharp fabric scissors, seam ripper, straight pins, etc.
Specialty fabric for accents
Any novelties such as buttons, clasps, etc. you want to use
Image or pattern for garment you would like to construct
